The pond was constructed in 2003 over a period of 3 months and holds approximately 800 gallons, its lined using a box welded pond liner, which was made for my pond using my measurements. Filtration is via a 4" kockney bottom drain which feds a 3 bay filter. In the first chamber there are 31 brushes, which take out the larger debris. The water then flows into the second chamber, which has Japanese matting and takes out the smaller debris. Finally in the third there are 3 sacks, which contain flow core. Each of the three chambers is fitted with a slide valve, which vents to waste. 1.5 " pipe is used for the filter outlet, which is then connected to a grundfos heating pump, this pumps water though a 15w UV and then returns it to the pond via a 1.75" (elephant trunk) pipe The pond is also fitted with a skimmer and a small pump supplies air directly into the pond and the filters first chamber.
